Packages

We had four pre-recorded packages. Two of them were a collection of vox pops, the one at the beginning was produced by Jade Girgensons, and the one later on in the show was produced by Luke Joyce. Both were two good, interesting pieces.

I however, had more to do with the other two packages. The first was the interview with Rocky Rakovic. This was completely organised together by the Producer Callum Davidson. On the day of recording Callum, Luke and I, went into to the studio to get ready and call Rocky. I had already had my questions planned and written down, any other questions would have to be asked in the spur of the moment. We finally got through to Rocky, who was extremely understanding to the technical difficulties that we were having. After asking how to pronounce his name and getting the levels steady, the interview began. I began the interview just thinking that Rocky just worked for Inked Mag, but when i asked him to explain who he is and what he does, he told us that he was the Editor-in-chief. He was someone incredibly high up in the magazine. This took me by surprise, but i carried on and finished what I thought was a good interview. I then took the audio home and edited it down so that it was small enough to fit in the show.

The second package I was involved in was the one of Lauren getting a tattoo at Living Colour Tattoo, i wasnt originally supposed to be going with her, Charley and Luke were, but then Lauren had to change the date because she was feeling ill. Unfortunately, the date she rescheduled to was a date neither Charley or Luke could attend. So, only I was left, however I was feeling under the weather also. As you should be able to hear in the actual interview, I do sniff quite a few times. Sniffing aside, the people at the tattoo parlour were more than happy to talk to us and let me sit in on Lauren’s tattoo, the tattoo artist even asked for more questions once i had finished talking to him, I think he enjoyed having something to think and talk about whilst tattooing. Fortunately we were able to get two interviews in one trip, we had only planned for one, however its a good thing we got both of them because the package would have been too short had we not asked the other tattoo artist if he could talk.
